Let us have a look at the data for today

SILVER COMEX OI ROSE BY A MEGA- HUGE  SIZED 2,631 CONTRACTS TO 134,984 AND CLOSER TO  THE  RECORD HIGH OI OF 244,710, SET FEB 25/2020 AND THIS HUGE SIZED GAIN IN COMEX OI WAS ACCOMPLISHED DESPITE OUR TINY  $0.05 GAIN  IN SILVER PRICING AT THE COMEX ON MONDAY. WE HAD CONSIDERABLE  SPEC SHORT COVERING EPISODE IN MONDAY’S COMEX TRADING.. TAS ISSUANCE WAS AN UNBELIEVABLE HUMONGOUS SIZED 8910 CONTRACTS. THESE WILL BE USED FOR MANIPULATION LATER THIS MONTH/AS WELL AS TODAY.THIS IS THE 4TH DAY IN A ROW FOR MEGA HUGE ISSUANCES OF T.A.S.

CRAIG HEMKE HAS POINTED OUT THAT THE CROOKS USE THE MID MONTH FOR MANIPULATION AS THEY SELL THEIR BUY SIDE OF THE CALENDAR SPREAD FIRST AND THEN KEEP THE SELL SIDE TO LIQUIDATE AT A LATER DATE.  THUS WE HAVE TWO VEHICLES THE CROOKS USE FOR MANIPULATION AND BOTH ARE SPREADERS:  1) AT MONTH’S END/SPREADERS COMEX AND 2/ TAS SPREADERS, MID MONTH. TOTAL TAS ISSUED ON MONDAY NIGHT: 8910 CONTRACTS. DESPITE MANY COMPLAINTS THAT THE CROOKS HAVE VIOLATED POSITION LIMITS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE TAS ISSUED HAVE A VALUE  OF ZERO (AS TO POSITION LIMITS FOR OUR CROOKED BANKERS). THE PROBLEM OF COURSE IS THAT THE CROOKS DO NOT LIQUIDATE THE TAS TOGETHER BUT SELL THE BUY SIDE FIRST AND THEN LIQUIDATE THE SELL SIDE TWO MONTHS HENCE. IT IS OBVIOUS MANIPULATION TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE BUT IT NATURALLY FELL ON DEAF EARS WITH OUR REGULATORS (OCC) WHEN THEY RECEIVED OUR COMPLAINTS. IT THUS LOOKS LIKE THE FED (GOV’T) IS BEHIND ALL OF THESE TRADES.

WE HAVE NOW SET ANOTHER RECORD LOW AT 114,102 CONTRACTS ///JULY 3.2023//  OUR BANKERS WITH THE HELP OF SPECULATORS AND HIGH FREQUENCY TRADERS WERE UNSUCCESSFUL IN KNOCKING THE PRICE OF SILVER DOWN (IT ROSE BY $0.05). AND WERE UNSUCCESSFUL IN KNOCKING ANY SILVER LONGS AS WE HAD A HUMONGOUS SIZED GAIN OF 2732  OI CONTRACTS ON OUR TWO EXCHANGES AS THE SPEC SHORTS TRIED AGAIN DESPERATELY TO COVER THEIR SHORTFALLS WITH SOME SUCCESS.

WE  MUST HAVE HAD:

(/NOW SWITCHING TO GOLD) FOR NEWCOMERS, HERE ARE THE DETAILS

SPREADING LIQUIDATION HAS NOW COMMENCED   AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE  NEW  ACTIVE FRONT MONTH OF SEPT. WE ARE NOW INTO THE SPREADING OPERATION OF  GOLD

HERE IS A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF HOW THE CROOKS FLEECE UNSUSPECTING LONGS IN THE SPREADING ENDEAVOUR ;MODUS OPERANDI OF THE CORRUPT BANKERS AS TO HOW THEY HANDLE THEIR SPREAD OPEN INTERESTS:HERE IS HOW THE CROOKS USED SPREADING AS WE ARE NOW INTO THE  NON ACTIVE DELIVERY MONTH OF MAY HEADING TOWARDS THE  ACTIVE DELIVERY MONTH OF JUNE., FOR BOTH GOLD:

YOU WILL ALSO NOTICE THAT THE COMEX OPEN INTEREST  STARTS TO RISE BUT SO IS THE OPEN INTEREST OF SPREADERS. THE OPEN INTEREST IN WILL CONTINUE TO RISE UNTIL ONE WEEK BEFORE FIRST DAY NOTICE OF AN UPCOMING  ACTIVE DELIVERY MONTH (SEPT), AND THAT IS WHEN THE CROOKS SELL THEIR SPREAD POSITIONS BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME OF THE DAY.  THEY WILL USE THE SELL SIDE OF THE EQUATION TO CREATE THE CASCADE (ALONG WITH THEIR COLLUSIVE FRIENDS) AND THEN COVER ON THE BUY SIDE OF THE SPREAD SITUATION AT THE END  OF THE DAY. THEY DO THIS TO AVOID POSITION LIMIT DETECTION. THE LIQUIDATION OF THE SPREADING FORMATION CONTINUES FOR EXACTLY ONE WEEK AND ENDS ON FIRST DAY NOTICE.”

First, here is an outline of what will be discussed tonight:

Now Japan’s state finance minister resigns after being caught evading taxes

Next Level Banana Republic: Japan State Finance Minister Resigns After Getting Caught Evading Taxes

MONDAY, NOV 13, 2023 – 11:40 PM

We have frequently said that Japan’s top government and central bank power echelons are nothing more than a grotesque circus of utter incompetence…

… and the latest news out of that basket case banana republic have just confirmed out cynicism once again.

In a “shocking” twist of events out of the land of the rising sun banana, Japan’s State Finance Minister, Kenji Kanda – best known for doing nothing and just watching as Japan’s currency craters to record lows while unleashing historic inflation on the local population – has stepped down following allegations of tax evasion, delivering a fresh blow to the administration of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, which may well be the most incompetent in recent Japanese history, and which is already grappling with the departure of two other Cabinet members since the recent cabinet reshuffle in September.

According to BNN, Kanda’s resignation came in the wake of a magazine report alleging that Kanda’s company had defaulted on its tax payments. The Finance Minister didn’t deny these claims. Instead, he confirmed that the authorities had seized his company’s land and property due to non-payment of fixed asset taxes.

The opposition parties didn’t let this opportunity slip by. They criticized Kanda for his financial improprieties, and there were widespread calls for his resignation. In the end, “Kanda had to bow to mounting pressure and vacate his ministerial post” or in other words, jump on the land mine and take one for the Kishida team which has at best bought itself a week or two of extra time.

The fourth-term lower house member Kanda has confessed that he had skipped compulsory annual lectures for tax accountants, as alleged by the Shukan Bunshun weekly, which also reported the tax scandal in early November.

“I became busy with national political affairs, and the weight of my tax accountant work decreased,” Kanda said in a parliamentary session last week. “Demand letters and other matters were left to the staff at the tax accountant’s office. I was too busy to get involved.”

Kinda like Tim “Turbo-Tax” Geithner… remember him?

An opposition lawmaker, who has called Kanda a “criminal,” said his tax delinquency had given the impression that people do not have to pay taxes. Kanda apologized but initially denied he would resign as senior vice finance minister.

Kenta Izumi, chief of the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, said it is “too late” for Kanda to decide to step down, adding, “Questions are being raised about Prime Minister Kishida’s responsibility for the appointment.”

Izumi indicated that his party will not participate in Diet deliberations on a supplementary budget for the fiscal year through March 2024 to fund the new economic stimulus package, scheduled to start later this month, unless Kishida replaces Kanda.

This incident marks the third time an official has resigned from a ministerial position since Prime Minister Kishida reshuffled his cabinet in September. The successive resignations have raised questions about Kishida’s choice of cabinet members and his ability to steer the government.

Akira Koike, head of the secretariat of the Japanese Communist Party, also criticized Kishida, telling reporters, “The prime minister’s responsibility for delaying this far is significant. It is a symbol of sloppy governance.”

Meanwhile, the grossly incompetent Prime Minister – whose recent track record culminates with crushing the currency, unleashing galloping inflation, and promising extremely unpopular fiscal stimulus and cash handouts with which to “defeat” inflation – has at most a few more months as his latest polls confirmed: according to an NHK poll published Monday, the approval for Kishida’s cabinet fell 7% to 29% the lowest since he took office in Oct. 2021.

In any other country, this would have been a sufficient condition for angry riots in front of the prime ministry. But for Japan’s zombified population of complacent sheep, where not even the historic currency collapse and near record runaway inflation seems to register, it’s unclear just what can finally wake the local gerontocracy out of its terminal coma.

IDF Chief Spokesman Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari revealed late Monday night an underground Hamas command center under the Rantisi Hospital which not only contained suicide vests, rocket-propelled grenades, and a variety of weapons but also signs, such as baby bottles, that Hamas had held Israeli hostages there.

He said there was evidence and independent separate intelligence that Hamas terrorists had returned directly to the hospital after their attacks and mass murders of Israelis on October 7.Next, he noted that an IDF robot found additional terror tunnels, including electricity being siphoned off from the hospital for use by the terrorists underground.

A video showed the basement of the hospital which showed a location disconnected from the rest of the hospital where the significant terror explosives and armaments were kept.

Hagari showed a motorcycle with a bullet hole inside it and items connected to one of the hostages in the vicinity of the motorcycle.

One of the chairs showed ropes and other items indicating that a hostage had been held there.

A baby bottle and other baby materials were found which the IDF said were connected to a hostage baby.Advertisement

There were also improvised toilets, which Hagari said was infrastructure to hold hostages.

The IDF confirmed on Tuesday that 19-year-old Noa Marciano, a soldier in the Border Defense Force, was killed while being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

On Monday, Hamas published footage showing Marciano’s body. The circumstances of her death remain unclear.

A representative of the IDF visited Marciano’s family on Monday after the genocidal terrorist group released a video of the captive soldier, still alive.

“Our hearts are with the Marciano family whose daughter, Noa, was brutally kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization,” the military stated. “The IDF and all the relevant bodies will continue to support her family, as well as all of the families of the hostages and missing persons. We are using all means, both intelligence and operational, to bring the hostages home.”

‘Noa, fellow lookouts stood bravely against abominable enemy’

Hagit Pe’er, the chairperson of Na’amat, Israel’s largest women’s organization, responded to the confirmation of Marciano’s death on Tuesday, saying that “much more will be told about Noa and her fellow lookouts, who stood bravely, in numerical inferiority and against all odds, against this abominable and barbaric enemy.

“During the meetings I held with female lookouts in the last few days, I was amazed by the fire in their eyes, by the attachment to the mission—by the fact that even though they lost many of their friends, they are determined to continue protecting the citizens of Israel,” she said. “

It is worth reminding again and again that the mission will not be completed until all our abductees return home. Condolences to the family of the late Noa.”

Two anti-tank missiles were fired from Lebanon toward IDF posts in northern Israel, with the IDF responding with artillery fire toward Lebanon, according to Army Radio. Hezbollah later took responsibility for the attack in a statement published by the terrorist movement on Telegram.

According to the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar news outlet, IDF artillery targeted sites near Naqoura, Maroun al-Ras, Meiss al-Jabal, Blida, Tayr Harfa, and Markaba in southern Lebanon. Additionally, an IDF drone strike reportedly targeted a building near Blida and another site near Meiss al-Jabal.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, the IDF said it had intercepted a “suspicious object” off the coast of Acre in northern Israel.

The IDF said it struck terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in Lebanon and a terrorist cell which attempted to fire anti-tank missiles at Israel on Tuesday afternoon.

The IDF added that terrorists fired anti-tank missiles and mortars toward IDF posts near Margaliot, Arab al-Aramshe, Yiftah, Shomera, and Matat on Tuesday.

On Monday, Ahmed Abdul Hadi, a Hamas representative in Beirut, told NBC that Hezbollah will only fully enter the war with Israel if Hamas is completely destroyed in Gaza.

“Now is not the time,” said the Hamas representative. “The red line for Hezbollah would be the full destruction of the resistance in Gaza.”

The IDF is coordinating the transfer of incubators for newborns from an Israeli hospital to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, the IDF stated early on Tuesday morning.

The announcement comes as the IDF conducts an ongoing effort to provide humanitarian assistance to the Gazan hospital.

“The IDF remains committed to upholding its moral and professional responsibilities to distinguish between civilians and Hamas terrorists,” the IDF spokesperson said. “The IDF is willing to work with any reliable mediating party to ensure the transfer of the incubators.”

In a phone call released by the IDF, an officer from the Coordination and Liaison Administration (CLA) to Gaza, speaking with the Director General of Al-Shifa Hospital, can be heard offering the incubator as well as helping evacuate children and patients from the facility.

Asked if there was anything else he needed, the Director General of the hospital said that they needed respirators for some children who were in need of oxygen.

The Israeli officer vowed to do what he could to secure the needed equipment.Advertisement

“Anything, despite all the difficulties, whatever I can do, I will try to help you,” the CLA officer said. “I will help you protect the injured and the patients.”

“Ok, and also the medical staff,” the Director General said.

“Of course, of course,” the CLA officer replied.

In a video released by the IDF along with the recording of the phone call, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) spokesperson, Shani Sasson, standing in front of the incubators that are to be sent to Al-Shifa, stated “extensive efforts are underway to ensure that these incubators… can reach babies in Gaza without delay. Our war is against Hamas, and not the people of Gaza.”

Previously, however, Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have said that A–Shifa hospital has refused Israeli assistance.

“We just offered Shifa hospital the fuel, they refused it,” Netanyahu claimed on Sunday.

Earlier this month, a Gaza health official stated in a phone call intercepted by the IDF that Hamas takes fuel provided to Al-Shifa.

Another intercepted call recorded a health official saying that the director general of Gaza’s Hamas-run Health Ministry, Yusef Abu Rish, had prevented a delivery of fuel from getting to the hospital.

Prior to the offer of incubators, the IDF spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, said that the army would help evacuate babies from the hospital.

The evacuation offer came as the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza had claimed that two babies had died in an incubator as a result of the hospital running out of fuel.

DF unveils Hamas ‘pit’ under headquarters

Rockets down 80%, all long range anti-tank missiles quickly destroyed.

The IDF on Tuesday unveiled new details regarding Hamas’s “pit” headquarters which is underground from its above-ground military high command site in Gaza City, which it took over several days ago.

While the IDF knew that the military high command area and some connected tunnel network would be hard to take, and assigned both high-powered Units 401 and Givati troops to do so, senior officials were surprised by the scope and sophistication of what could only be described as similar to the IDF’s “pit” under the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv.

Part of this network included a special shaft with an elevator that did not merely go the conventional three to five meters underground that many Hamas tunnels run but rather reached an almost unheard-of depth of 30 meters.

The elevator could fit around seven people.

Inside the bottom of this special tunnel, the IDF found signs that Hamas’s high command had hidden there, with a top official speculating that this could very well have included: Gaza Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar and Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif.

This tunnel was also outfitted with oxygen, air conditioning, and even more advanced communications than other underground mini command centers.

IDF Division 162 Commander Brig. Gen. Itzik Cohen said, “we created conditions which could lead to taking apart the military and governance capabilities of Hamas in Gaza City.”Advertisement

“Since the start of the invasion, the IDF and Division 162 have been taking apart the centers of gravity of Hamas and the capabilities that it spent years building. Since the start of the invasion, divisional forces have killed over 1,000 Hamas terrorists and reduced rocket fire from northern Gaza at Israel by around 80%,” he said.

Hamas’s long-range missiles destroyed early

In addition, all of Hamas’s long-range Kornet anti-tank missiles were destroyed by the IDF in the invasion’s first 24 hours, though Hamas still has a large supply of shorter-range rocket-propelled-grenade launchers.

Cohen described how various IDF forces first had a goal of subduing Al-Atatra, then moved on to the command center of Hamas, then to the military quarter and its vast underground network, as well as to a naval command center, the Badr command center closer to the coast, Rantisi Hospital and its underground network, the Shaati neighborhood very close to the coast, and final Shifa Hospital and its underground command center.

Al-Atatra is a northwestern neighborhood in the city of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, with command center 17 being slightly further south, the military quarter being in the middle of northern Gaza, Rantisi being further south but also east, and the naval command center, the Badr command center, Shaati and Shifa Hospital being further west.

Summarizing, Cohen said that these different key points signified entering the gates of Gaza City, the center of Gaza City, and now, with the fall of Hamas in Shaati, the southern point of Gaza City.

The Shaati neighborhood alone took thousands of heavily armed IDF forces.

The naval command center also had significant weapons and intelligence hidden about 20 meters down

With Foreign Minister Eli Cohen tweeting on Monday that within two to three weeks, global pressure on Israel for a ceasefire will spike, IDF estimates are that this would be enough time to finish off remaining leftover Hamas spots in the North.

In one sign of the comprehensive toll that the IDF’s operations and the general siege of Hamas is taking on the terror group, recently 12 Hamas terrorists surrendered together near Shifa Hospital, exhausted simply by the lack of available food and water.

Also, the battalion commander of Hamas’s Shaati forces fled his battalion before the battle with IDF forces was over. IDF estimates are that cooperation with the Shin Bet will lead to successfully targeting him within a short time.

Another achievement has been that there have been zero friendly fire losses of IDF infantry from mistaken attacks by the air force.

This is a notable statistic given how aggressively the Air Force has been involved in the invasion and how dense the urban surroundings are.

One sign that there is more work for the IDF to do even in northern Gaza is that IDF forces largely circumvented fighting in the Shejaiya neighborhood, and are expected to at some point circle back there to deal with remaining Hamas forces.

This move as well as a strategy of having troops march through Palestinian houses being bulldozed by IDF D9s, as opposed to on main thoroughfares, have been key to avoiding Hamas boobytraps and ambushes which the group set anticipating the IDF to operate as it did during the 2014 Gaza conflict.

There was an eight-kilometer area leading into the center of Gaza City where Hamas had hoped to bleed the IDF so profusely that it would give up before arriving at the center.

Another key difference from 2014, is the IDF this time seeks to destroy all aspects of Hamas’s tunnel network, whereas in 2014, the IDF often sufficed with causing cave-ins in certain spots.

Hamas responded by simply digging around the cave-ins to reconnect the largely intact disparate tunnels at other spots.

While a large number of attacks on tunnels are cited, only around 30% of Hamas’s tunnels in the area have been fully destroyed to date, requiring significantly more time and investment of resources.

The IDF’s goals appear to be: first destroy Hamas forces, second destroy (not just neutralize) Hamas tunnels, and third to create pressure on Hamas to release the almost 240 Israeli hostages.

Regarding the battle over tunnels, in some cases, the IDF has collapsed tunnels with Hamas forces within them, and a later stage of destroying tunnels will need to include sifting through these areas.

Generally, the IDF has used various new capabilities, robots, and other systems to investigate tunnels, with IDF troops only entering at a later stage, and only with the approval of a high-ranking brigade commander of the rank of colonel.

White House says it has evidence Hamas using Al-Shifa hospital to run military actions

The White House on Tuesday said it had its own intelligence that Hamas was using Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital to run its military operations, and probably to store weapons, saying those actions constituted a war crime.

“We have information that confirms that Hamas is using that particular hospital for a command and control mode” and probably to store weapons, national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters aboard Air Force One. “That is a war crime.”

He said those actions by the Palestinian militant group did not lessen Israel’s responsibility to protect civilians.

Vivian Silver, a Canadian-Israeli peace activist who had been presumed kidnapped by Hamas, was declared dead after her remains were found at her home.

Her death was confirmed to JTA by multiple activists who said they were in touch with Silver’s family. Shifra Bronznick, a prominent Jewish social justice activist and lifelong friend of Silver’s, learned from Silver’s son that her remains were identified via her DNA.

Vivian was always persistent in the pursuit of peace and justice,” Bronznick told JTA on Monday evening. “She was a lifelong feminist, a committed activist, a fearless leader, an exceptional friend and a loving mother, wife and grandmother.”

Until Monday, Silver, 74, was assumed to be among the more than 200 people held captive by Hamas. She is now among the approximately 1,200 people murdered by the terror group in its Oct. 7 attack. Hamas terrorists killed more than 100 people at Silver’s home community, Kibbutz Be’eri, in one of the day’s worst massacres.

The life of Silver

She is one of several peace activists to have been killed or captured by Hamas on Oct. 7. Hayim Katsman, 32, who worked with Palestinians in the southern West Bank, was killed in his home in another community on the Gaza border. Yocheved Lifschitz, who helped ferry Palestinians from Gaza to medical care in Israel, was taken captive by Hamas and released in late October; her husband Oded, also involved in peace work, remains missing.POSTERS BEARING the photos of Israelis being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza are seen on a street in Port Washington, NY (credit: SHANNON STAPLETON/ REUTERS)POSTERS BEARING the photos of Israelis being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza are seen on a street in Port Washington, NY (credit: SHANNON STAPLETON/ REUTERS)

“A woman of infinite, deep, ongoing compassion, humanity and dedication to Arab-Jewish partnership and peace. Yes. Peace,” Anat Saragusti, an Israeli writer and feminist activist, wrote on social media in a post announcing Silver’s death. John Lyndon, the executive director of the Alliance for Middle East Peace, wrote that “she wanted to be free & at peace. Rest in power, Vivian.”

Silver’s sons, like the family members of many of those presumed hostage, lobbied extensively for her release, traveling the country and speaking to journalists around the world to call attention to her story. One son, Yonatan Zeigen, stood out for his calls for a ceasefire, an unusual position in Israel. He said he had learned from his mother to seek peace above all else.

“I would tell her, ‘Israel is dead. It’s hopeless,’ and she would say, ‘Peace could come tomorrow,’” Yonatan, a social worker in Tel Aviv told the Washington Post in a story published last week.

Chen Zeigen, her other son, is a doctoral student in archaeology at the University of Connecticut. She is also survived by four grandchildren.

On the day of the massacre, according to the Washington Post story, Silver took a call with a radio station where she pushed back against the idea that the Palestinians were “insane.” In messages with Yonatan, she expressed fear, frustration and love. “I’m with you,” he wrote to her. Her last message back to him was, “I feel you.”

Born in Winnipeg, Canada, she was the longtime director of  the Arab Jewish Center For Empowerment, Equality, and Cooperation, which organized projects joining communities in Israel, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. In 2014, after the last major war between Israel and Hamas, she helped found Women Wage Peace, which promotes peace-building actions among women from all communities and across the political spectrum.

Speaking to Forbes in 2021 for a series on women who assist the vulnerable, Silver said she remembered feeling relief after the government built bomb shelters in Kibbutz Be’eri, which had been subject to rocket fire from Gaza for more than a decade.

“In 2009, the [Israeli] government only built shelters for communities that were four kilometers from the border. The community I live in is four and a half kilometers from the border, so we didn’t have shelters then,” Silver told Forbes. “Now we do, so psychologically we feel better, and we feel safer, and in fact, we are safer, we’re a lot safer than the people in Gaza.”

At a 2018 Women Wage Peace event on the Gaza border in 2018, she said that the Israeli government needed to change its approach in order to bring peace to the area. “Show the required courage that will bring changes of policy that will bring us quiet and security,” she said then, addressing the government. “Returning to the routine is not an option.”

Appealing to women across the border, she said, “Terror does not make anything better for anyone, you too deserve quiet and peace.”

Bronznick first met Silver in the early 1970s when both were involved in organizing a national conference of Jewish women. They remained friends and, for a period of six years, took an annual trip together — the last one was to Santa Fe, New Mexico. When Silver would stay at Bronznick’s home, she would prepare an Israeli breakfast, Bronznick recalled.

“She would be passionately advocating for peace right now,” Bronznick said, referring to Israel’s war against Hamas, launched following the Oct. 7 attack. “She never gave up on bridge-building. She never gave up on making change. She never gave up on people… She always focused on people, children, what motivated them, what meant something to them.”

Before Oct. 7, Silver was due for another stay at Bronznick’s home in New York City in early December. On top of each of the days in Bronznick’s calendar, she had written “Viv.”

Bereaved Israeli father to Biden: My son was fighting your fight in Gaza

He put his words in the form of a letter, which he read in English at the end of his son’s funeral on Sunday • “We’re going to win this one, with you or without you.”

From his fallen son’s grave, bereaved Israeli-American father Yechiel Leiter called on United States President Joe Biden not to pressure Israel to stop its war to oust Hamas from Gaza.

“There are rumors that you are putting pressure on Israel to hold off, to cease the offensive,” said Leiter, whose son Maj. (res.) Moshe Yedidya, 39, was killed over the weekend in a tunnel in Gaza. He was the company commander of Brigade 551’s Battalion 697.

“If those rumors are true – I hope they’re not – but if they are true, Mr. President, I respectfully ask of you, here on my son’s grave, to cease and desist,” the bereaved father said.

He put his words in the form of a letter which he read out in English at the end of his son’s funeral at Jerusalem’s Mt. Herzl military cemetery on Sunday.

Leiter, who is a former aide to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and to one of his predecessors Ariel Sharon, noted that he and Biden had two things in common.

The first, he said, is that they were both born in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

“I still have my bank account, at the PNC bank, on Joe Biden Boulevard. My Mom, may she live and be well, still lives in Scranton, and my maternal grandparents are both buried in Scranton.”

The second thing, which as of this weekend bound them, was that they are both bereaved fathers, Leiter said, referring to Biden’s loss of his son Beau to cancer in 2015.

“You lost a son, and I’ve lost a son,” Leiter said.

“You know, Mr. President, better than most, the pain that I’m feeling now. The harrowing sense of darkness, the stabbing at the heart, the longing, to once again hug your boy; to talk to him about life, to advise him on his career.”

‘He gave his life for our Judeo-Christian values’

Leiter said that he could tell Biden many things about how special his son was.

“His fifteen years in special forces, med school; manager of two businesses, educational institutions; and father of six. His last son, born just three months ago, will never know his father,” the baby’s grandfather said.

“But the purpose of this note is not to share my personal grief. I am taking the liberty of writing to you because our nation is in grief.

“What I want to say to you about my dear Moshe, who was proud of his parent’s and grandparent’s American heritage, was that he was fighting your fight, Mr. President! He was fighting our fight,” Leiter said.

“He gave his life so the barbarians wouldn’t get through the gates of our democracies, of our Judeo-Christian Western values,” he said.

“He was fighting for human freedom and against all the lies and distortions of the freedom-deniers, who unfortunately fool so many Americans with their double talk. He was fighting against Hamas-ISIS.”US PRESIDENT Joe Biden continues to back the Israeli military operation in Gaza. It is therefore important, Leiter told Biden, not to pressure Israel to halt its military campaign in Gaza

“Stand back Mr. President: don’t pressure us. Let us do what we know how to do, indeed what we must do, to defeat evil. This is a war of light against darkness, of truth against lies, of civility against murderous barbarism,” Leiter said.

“Take it from one plain-speaking Scrantonian to another – we’re going to win this one, with you or without you. We’re going win it hands down, because we are a people of survival, and this battle is one of survival,” he said.

“Never have the people of Israel been so united. This is our job; it is what the Jewish people are here in this world to do – to help fix it. Sometimes fixing the world means using strength and military power.

“Perhaps, just as we read in the Biblical book of Esther, it is the whole reason you are the leader of the free world, at this particular time. Your long and illustrious career of leadership was in preparation for this very moment.” Leiter was referring to the Purim story where Mordechai the Jew encouraged his relative Queen Esther of Persia (now Iran) to advocate for her people (Esther, 4:13-14).

“Those who stand with us will be blessed; those who do not stand with us will fail,” the former adviser to prime ministers said.

The bereaved father urged Biden to “stand with Moshe who loved America, and even trained with your Delta Force during his army service. Stand with my son who loved his people [and] his homeland, and who gave his life in the name of civility, justice and morality.”

The IDF conducted an operation overnight in the West Bank Palestinian city of Tulkarm to apprehend wanted individuals, the IDF spokesperson said on Tuesday morning.

Over the course of the operation, seven terrorists were killed.

Shortly after the arrival of the Israeli security personnel, fighting broke out between soldiers of the Kfir Brigade and local terrorists with fire being exchanged between the two sides.

After 15 hours, the Kfir Brigade, leading a coalition effort that included the Combat Engineering Corps, the Haruv Battalion, the Duchifat Battalion, Duvdevan reservists, the Shin Bet, and Border Police, completed the mission.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Ramallah, the seven Palestinians killed in the Tulkarm operation are Abd Maarek Jarban (33), Saeed Salman Abu Tahoun (32), Jihad Khaled Ghanem (25) Musab Omar Al-Ghoul (21), Hazem Muhammad Hosri (28), Mahmoud Ali Hadayda (25), and Walid Musaei (26).

Among the arrests made during the operation, the IDF said that the Shin Bet and Border Police apprehended a senior member of the terrorist Tulkarm Battalion after he attempted to flee under the cover of an ambulance.

Most (67%) Americans believe Israel should continue its military efforts in Gaza until Hamas is defeated and the hostages are released, according to a new HarrisX poll commissioned by the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (CoP).

The survey also found that more than eight in ten Americans expressed their belief that Israel has a responsibility to protect its citizens and strike back when necessary.

The survey, conducted online from November 11-12 among 1,331 US adults, revealed significant support for Israel’s efforts to combat Hamas and highlighted a condemnation of the terrorist organization.

Netanyahu Warns America: “You’re Next” If IDF Doesn’t Decimate Hamas “Barbarism”

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 11:50 AM

Israel has been ramping up its global messaging campaign at a moment it faces increased isolation from Global South countries, and amid growing criticism from large powers like China, Russia, and major Latin American countries such as Brazil.

But there have been signs of dissent even within the Biden administration as well, with pushback especially coming from the State Department of late, as US officials want to see the White House become more publicly critical of alleged Israeli war crimes, given also the immense death toll, at over 11,200 Gazans killed – with some half of these believed to be women and children.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now taking his message to the American public, in a Monday night appearance on Fox News’ Sean Hannity, warning that the US will be “next” if his military doesn’t decimate Hamas.

“We have to win not only for our sake, but for the sake of the Middle East, for the sake of our Arab neighbors. You know what, for the sake of Gazans who’ve been held by this dark tyranny that has brutalized and brought them nothing but bloodshed and poverty and misery,” Netanyahu introduced.

“We have to win to protect Israel. We have to win to safeguard the Middle East. We have to win for the sake of the civilized world. That’s the battle we’re fighting, and it’s being waged right now. There is no substitute for that victory.”

And that’s when he emphasized the potential dire repercussions for the West if Israel fails in its objectives. “If we don’t win now, then Europe is next and you’re next. And we have to win,” he added.

Netanyahu’s words carried a theme of a war between ‘barbarians’ and ‘civilization’, with an intent to make Americans believe what’s happening in the Middle East is “your fight” as well. According to Fox:

Netanyahu stressed that “our fight is your fight” and that there is “no substitute for victory.”

“We have to have the forces of civilization beat these barbarians because otherwise this barbarism will spread and will endanger the entire world,” Netanyahu said. “Every American, every civilized country will be under peril. We have to win. There is no substitute for victory. Total victory.”

Such messaging filled with a ‘good vs. evil’ motif was also heavily relied upon by the Bush administration and neocons in selling the Iraq War in 2003. Netanyahu has in past years also painted such simple contrasts when speaking about Iran and its supposed ‘nuclear threat’ as well.

Netanyahu may have been responding to rare words of restraint issued by President Biden on the same day. “I have not been reluctant in expressing my concerns about what’s going on and it’s my hope and expectation that it will be less intrusive action relative to the hospital,” Biden said Monday regarding the worsening humanitarian crisis at al-Shifa hospital in the center of Gaza City.

Zelensky’s playbook of “you’re next”?…

“So, I remain somewhat hopeful but the hospital must be protected,” he said. This was in response to growing international condemnation, including from the UN, of Israeli troops laying siege to the large Gaza hospital, amid reports that patients – including the very young – are dying, and as the hospital has run out of fuel to keep vital generators going.

Up to seven killed in U.S. air strikes in Syria – US official

By REUTERSNOVEMBER 14, 2023 18:01

The United States believes its latest air strikes on Sunday against Iran-linked militia in Syria killed up to seven people, a US official said on Tuesday, speaking on condition of anonymity to disclose the US assessment.

The deaths would be the first since the United States started carrying out retaliatory strikes against militia whom Washington blames for attacking American troops at bases in Iraq and Syria. The other strikes have hit unoccupied facilities, including for storage of weaponry.

The Declaration That Wasn’t Supposed To Happen

MONDAY, NOV 13, 2023 – 11:00 PM

Authored by Jeffrey Tucker via The Brownstone Institute,

It’s been a continuing mystery for three years, at least to me but many others too.

In October 2020, in the midst of a genuine crisis, three scientists made a very short statement of highly public health wisdom, a summary of what everyone in the profession, apart from a few oddballs, believed only a year earlier.

The astonishing frenzy of denunciation following that document’s release was on a level I’ve never seen before, reaching to the highest levels of government and flowing through the whole of media and tech. It was mind-boggling.

For proof that nothing in the document was particularly radical, look no further than the March 2, 2020, letter from Yale University signed by 800 top professionals. It warned against quarantines, lockdowns, closures, and travel restrictions. It said such extreme measures “can undermine public trust, have large societal costs and, importantly, disproportionately affect the most vulnerable segments in our communities.” That document appeared only two weeks before the lockdowns announced by the Trump administration.

That was the period of the grant amnesia. The conventional wisdom turned on a dime toward full backing of regime priorities, a shift more extreme and mind boggling that anything in dystopian fiction.

Seven months later, the Great Barrington Declaration said something very similar to the Yale document. It was a summary statement concerning what governments and society should and should not do during pandemics. They should seek to allow everyone to live as normally as possible in order to avoid guaranteed damage from coerced disruptions. And the vulnerable population – those who would experience medically significant impacts from exposure – should be protected from exposure insofar as doing so is consistent with human rights and choice.

It was nothing particularly novel, much less radical. Indeed, it was accepted wisdom the year before and for the previous century. The difference this time, however, is that the statement was released during the wildest and most destructive science experiment in modern times. The existing policy of lockdowns was utter wreckage: of businesses, schools, churches, civic life, and freedom itself. Masks were being forced on the whole population, including children. Governments were attempting a regime of test, track, trace, and isolate, as if there were ever any hope of containing a respiratory pathogen with a zoonotic reservoir.

The carnage was everywhere already and obvious from a look at every downtown of every city in the US. Stores were boarded up. The streets were mostly empty. The professional class was hunkered down, binging on streaming and gaming services, while the working class was hustling everywhere to deliver groceries to doorsteps. In short, insanity had broken out.

Several groups of doctors had already made strong statements against the goings on, including the frontline doctors group on Capitol Hill and the brilliant Bakersfield doctors, among many individuals. However, they were quickly shot down by major media and blasted for failing to support the great undertaking. Even that was astonishing to watch unfold. It didn’t matter how exalted the reputations of the doctors or scientists were. They were all shot down, more or less instantly, as crazies and cranks.

It was like living in a horror house of mirrors where nothing appears as it is supposed to. At the time, I chalked it all up to mass confusion, cultural amnesia, bad education, government overreach, media ignorance, or just some general tendency of humanity to go mad that I had not previously seen in my lifetime but had only known from history books.

Several top epidemiologists felt the same way. They were Martin Kulldorff from Harvard, Jay Bhattacharya from Stanford, and Sunetra Gupta from Oxford. Together they wrote a very short statement in hopes of bringing public officials and common people back to good sense and rationality. We had the idea of putting it online and inviting others to sign. We were racing against time because there were several interviews coming up. Lucio Saverio-Eastman, now with Brownstone, skipped a nights’ sleep to create the website. He tells the story here

The blowback began within hours. It was really something to behold. Twitter accounts came out of nowhere to smear the document and its producers and the institution that hosted the event where the scientists explained their thinking. The calumnies and attacks were coming in so quickly that it was impossible to respond. The website itself was subject to open and admitted sabotage, with fake names. That required some fast patches and new levels of security.

It was a storm of frenzy the likes of which I had never seen. It’s one thing to object to a point of view but this was next-level. The hit pieces were pouring out of huge venues, almost as if they had been ordered from the top. Much later we found out that they had in fact been ordered: Francis Collins, the head of National Institutes of Health, called for a “quick and devastating takedown” of the document.

When that revelation came out, it didn’t make much sense to me. I get that this view had become what seemed to be a minority view but how do you “take down” the public health wisdom of one hundred years? The GBD was not the outlying position; the lockdowns were the radical move that never had a scientific justification. They were just imposed as if they were normal even though everyone knew they were not.

Lately we’ve been flooded with more information that starts to make sense of this puzzle.

As Rajeev Venkayya had told me the previous April, the whole point of the lockdowns was to wait for the vaccine. Frankly, I didn’t believe him at the time. I should have. After all, it was he who had invented the idea of lockdowns, worked for the Gates Foundation as head of its vaccine advisory, and then moved to a vaccine company thereafter. If anyone knew the real plan, it was he.

In the meantime, we now know there was then being built a vast censorship machinery involving the federal government, outposts as universities such as Stanford and Johns Hopkins, tech companies, and media embeds in all important outlets. It was not only being built but being deployed in order to craft the public mind in ways that would maintain the spirit of fear and the reality of lockdowns until the magic inoculation arrived. The whole plot sounds straight out of a bad Hollywood movie, but it was a plot being enacted in real life.

Think here of the timing of the Great Barrington Declaration. It came out barely a month before the election, after which the plan from the top was to release the vaccine, presumably after the sitting president was defeated. That way the new president could get the credit for the distribution stage and thus would the pandemic end.

The underlying dynamic of the timing of the release of the GBD – we had no clue at all that this was going on – worked utterly to subvert the entire censorship regime. The perception too was that this document would undermine vaccine acceptance. At that point in the great plan, all focus was on molding the public mind toward mass jabbing. That meant cultivating among the population the appearance of expert unity.

“Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed,” said the document.

“As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity – i.e. the point at which the rate of new infections is stable – and that this can be assisted by (but is not dependent upon) a vaccine. Our goal should therefore be to minimize mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.”

Further, “the most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk.”

Reading those words today, in light of what we now know, we can start to make sense of the sheer panic at the top. Natural infection and immunity? Can’t talk about that. The end of the pandemic is not “dependent upon” the vaccine? Can’t say that either. Go back to normal for all populations without significant medical risk? Unsayable.

You need only reflect on the astounding barrage of vaccine propaganda that began immediately upon release, the attempt to mandate it on the whole population and now the addition of the Covid jab to the childhood schedule even though children are of near zero risk. This is all about product sales, as you can easily discern from the unrelenting ad videos made by the new head of the CDC.

As for the product effectiveness itself, there seems to be no end to the ensuing problems. It was not a sterilizing inoculation, and it appears that the manufacturers always knew that. It could not stop infection or transmission. The hazards associated with it were also known early on. Every day, the news gets more grim: in the latest revelation, the CDC seems to have kept two separate books on vaccine injury, one public (showing harms without precedent but which has been deprecated by officials) and one yet to be released.

Even now, therefore, there is every effort being made to keep a lid on what surely ranks as the greatest failure/scandal in the modern history of public health. Some brave experts called it out before the whole calamity unfolded even further.

The problem with the Great Barrington Declaration was not that it was not true. It’s that – unbeknownst to its authors – it flew in the face of one of the most funded and elaborate industrial plots in the history of governance. Just a few sentences sneaking through the wall of censorship they were carefully constructing was enough to threaten and eventually dismantle the best laid plans.

Sometimes just telling the plain truth in well-timed ways is all it takes.

Not a day goes by where there isn’t another cardiac arrest in a young person. Today, we will go over the deaths of several young men and women who recently died suddenly.

Perfectly healthy people at the top of their career, people just starting out or even people still in school.

The deaths of these young people are a tragedy, and it is important to investigate the circumstances of their deaths thoroughly. Ask questions others are not willing to. We cannot allow these suspicious deaths to be normalized.

Davide Renne, 46

First, Davide Renne, a 46-year-old Italian fashion designer who previously worked for Gucci, died suddenly last week. Some publications reported that he died of a “sudden illness,” while the New York Times reported that he died of a “heart attack.”

Anna Diederich, 24

Anna Diederich, a medical student who wanted to be a cardiologist died in October after suffering an unexpected “medical emergency.” According to her Uncle, Anna collapsed while working out at her college gym.

Raphael Dwamena, 28

Raphael Dwamena, a 28-year-old Ghanaian international footballer, died after collapsing during a match on Saturday. A video appears to show him collapsing in the 24th minute of an Albanian top division soccer match. Dwamena was the top scorer in the Albanian Super League this season.

Lauren Page Smith, 29

Lauren Page Smith, a 29-year-old mother, tragically passed away from a sudden heart attack caused by a blood clot in her lung. Her 2-year-old daughter was discovered lying on her mother’s chest, saying, “Mummy won’t wake up.”

Knox MacEwen, 14

Knox MacEwen, a Junior Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) student, suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed while running a 5K race at Everglades High School in Florida on Saturday morning. This tragedy occurred just months after his mother recovered from cancer.

Maria Woods

Unfortunately that’s not even the tip of the iceberg. There are countless people who continue to died suddenly after a brief short illness, in their sleep or after physical exertion.

Medical episodes seem to be happening to anyone, anywhere, even behind the wheel of a vehicle, potentially putting you or your loved ones at risk. This past weekend, a bus driver suffered a medical episode and veered off the road, putting themselves and their passengers at risk.

A school bus driver suffered an unknown medical episode while driving school children in Pennsylvania.

A driver in Orlando suffered a medical episode and crashed into a home, colliding directly with the children’s playroom. Fortunately, no one was in the playroom at the time.

Medical episodes are happening more and more frequently, and they often have a common denominator: the people experiencing these episodes were vaccinated at their workplaces or schools.

How many more must die before we get the proper investigations? Sickening that we are allowing and living through this genocide.

We need answers. We would not expect healthy teens, 20-, 30-, and 40-year-olds to be dying of natural causes. Medical examiners must investigate these deaths. Were these people required to be vaccinated? How many times were they vaccinated? It is time for medical examiners to do their job.

The MC’s father, George Lee Washington Blount Jr., tells us his son was hospitalized on Oct. 18 as a result of a scary blood sugar level — which we’re told stems from his diabetes. Blount says that while C-Knight was receiving dialysis, he somehow suffered a stroke. In addition to that, we’re told C-Knight went into cardiac arrest … and that his heart stopped, with him needing to be resuscitated by doctors. At that point, Blount says C-Knight was placed on life support — but Blount says even more health issues surfaced amid all this. Since the stroke and cardiac arrest … we’re told C-Knight has been in an unresponsive state, and that the medical staff has told the family there’s no signs of progress they’re detecting. Blount tells us they’re waiting on a crucial MRI scan to be done, which will tell if them if there’s any notable brain activity. We’re told the family believes he can battle back and recover from this … despite how grim it looks at the moment.

Patrick Dempsey Reflects on His Nonprofit, ‘General Hospital’ Star [John York] Talks Cancer and More

November 10, 2023

Actor Patrick Dempsey founded The Dempsey Center in 2008 to honor his mother, Amanda, who died from ovarian cancer in 2014. She was diagnosed in 1997.

“We help people who have been impacted by cancer,” Dempsey told PEOPLE this week. “We don’t treat the disease; we treat the person in what is called wraparound care. A lot of counseling, acupuncture, reiki, nutrition.”

Dempsey, 57, located his nonprofit in his native state of Maine, and wants to help individuals impacted by cancer to give them traditional ways to treat their diagnoses.

“The type of work that we’re doing and helping a family is very important and gives life meaning,” noted Dempsey. “I think to be of service is really why we’re here and you really feel that when you’re doing this type of work.”

Dempsey hopes that his mother would be proud of the work he put in to honor her name….

Star of “General Hospital,” John J. York, revealed that he has started the blood stem cell transplant process. York remained on ABC for 22 years, playing the role of Mac Scorpio on “General Hospital.”

“There’s still a long road ahead, but these next 100 days I would say is rocky terrain,” York told PEOPLE.

York was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndromes and smoldering multiple myeloma — both blood and bone marrow disorders — last December.

Alyssa Farah Griffin is missing from The View as Whoopi Goldberg explains absence – but fans say they know ‘real’ reason

November 9, 2023

On the most recent episode of The View, there were only four women at the desk- Whoopi, 67, Sara Haines, 46, Joy Behar, 81, and Sunny Hostin, 55.

Alyssa, 34, was not there, and Ana Navarro, 51, did not fill in for her.

When the panel sat down for the episode, Whoopi opened up the show by explaining where Alyssa was.

“Alyssa is not here today. She is out,” she said.

“She’ll be back,” Whoopi said, turning towards her co-hosts. “She is not feeling well.”

“She’ll be back tomorrow probably.”

Alyssa was in the rest of the week.

Her co-hosts nodded and then Whoopi went on to talk about the first topic of the day- the Republican Presidential Debate.

… Alyssa confirmed that she was out sick by posting a photo to her Instagram story.

The photo was one of her dog, Herbie, who was cuddled in a soft gray blanket.

He looked up at the camera as Alyssa snapped the picture.

She captioned the post: “Out sick with a cold, but don’t feel bad for me: this is my view.”

Grand Islamic Mufti of Jerusalem met with Hitler & I asked for someone to help us with the substance of that meeting in 1941 for as you know what happened next to the Jewish peoples! Please see below

Record: What the mufti said to Hitler: The Arabs were Germany’s natural friends, Haj Amin al-Husseini told the Nazi leader 1941, because they had the same enemies; namely the English, Jews, Communists

The following is an official German record of the meeting between Adolf Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, on November 28, 1941, at the Reich Chancellory in Berlin. (Source: Documents on German Foreign Policy 1918-1945, Series D, Vol XIII, London, 1964.)

‘GRAND MUFTI:
The Grand Mufti began by thanking the Fuhrer for the great honor he had bestowed by receiving him. He wished to seize the opportunity to convey to the Fuhrer of the Greater German Reich, admired by the entire Arab world, his thanks of the sympathy which he had always shown for the Arab and especially the Palestinian cause, and to which he had given clear expression in his public speeches.

The Arab countries were firmly convinced that Germany would win the war and that the Arab cause would then prosper. The Arabs were Germany’s natural friends because they had the same enemies as had Germany, namely the English, the Jews and the Communists. Therefore they were prepared to cooperate with Germany with all their hearts and stood ready to participate in the war, not only negatively by the commission of acts of sabotage and the instigation of revolutions, but also positively by the formation of an Arab Legion.

Green Dreams Turn Into Nightmares: After US Withdrawal, Orsted Pulls Out Of Norway Wind Bidding

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 03:30 AM

By Charles Kennedy of OilPrice.com

Danish offshore wind developer Orsted has officially withdrawn from a consortium set to bid on Norwegian offshore wind projects just days after pulling out of two U.S. offshore wind projects, Reuters reports, citing one of the consortium partners.

The withdrawal comes just two days before Norway’s November 15 deadline to submit pre-qualification interests for the building of up to 1.5 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity.

“Orsted has informed us that due to a prioritisation of investments in the portfolio, it will withdraw from pursuing participation in offshore wind developments in Norway, and therefore their participation in the partnership will discontinue,” Norway’s Bonheur ASA (BONHR.OL) said in a statement to Reuters.

Separately, Orsted told Reuters by email that it was no longer prioritizing offshore wind development in Norway.

Earlier in November, Orsted walked away from U.S. offshore wind projects, citing soaring costs, supply chain issues and high interest rates.

Prior to withdrawing from the U.S. projects, Orsted CEO Mads Nipper told Bloomberg that the Biden administration needed to guarantee more support for the projects at a time when soaring inflation was undermining the renewable energy sector. Orsted would have received at least 30% tax credits under the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA); however, the company had asked the Biden administration to guarantee subsidies without the domestic content requirement as well as requesting more time to source U.S.-made materials due to supply chain bottlenecks.

In late August, Orsted warned that it could face up to $2.3 billion in impairments on the U.S. projects.

Orsted’s stock plummeted 20% on November 1 when it officially withdrew from the U.S. projects.

Renewable energy stocks have significantly underperformed their fossil fuel peers and the broader market in the current year, with the selloff accelerating recently due to high interest rates and despite the IRA.

Stocks Soar, Yields And Dollar Crash As Fed’s Tightening Cycle Dies, Countdown To Cuts Begins

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 04:00 PM

Stocks soared, and bond yields tumbled after the October CPI report showed an unexpected slowdown in inflation across the board, with core inflation dropping to its lowest level in two years. This led to Fed swaps pricing in 50 basis points in rate cuts for the July 2024 FOMC meeting, while the dollar was clubbed like a baby seal, down 1%, its most significant decline in a year.

Shortly after the release of today’s CPI data, Nick Timiraos, often called “Nikileaks,” shared a post on social media platform X that confirms the Fed has concluded its hiking cycle.

US equity futures erupted after the CPI print – sending S&P500 and Nasdaq futures up as much as 2%. Dow Jones futures were up 1.5%. All three equity futures indexes have traded in a lateral range from 1000 ET (as noted in the graphic).

About 95% of companies in the S&P 500 were green in the session, with the index up 2%.

S&P500 moves above the 100 sma.

As stocks soared, so did treasuries – and yields dove across the curve.

Two-year treasury yields recorded the largest one-day drop since the regional banking crisis in March. This is mainly due to the likelihood that a Fed pivot is ahead.

The Bloomberg dollar index collapsed – the biggest daily drop since Nov. 11, 2022.

As for the most important news: The market no longer is pricing in any more rate hikes in December or otherwise, and instead, it is now giving roughly 25% odds to a rate cut in March and has fully priced in two rate cuts by July.

Compare this to yesterday’s fed funds futures chart, which gave reasonable odds of a Dec/January rate hike. Well, those are gone.

Fed pivot hopes sparked a 6% jump in Goldman’s Most Shorted Index.

Wall Street’s most speculative stocks had no choice but to move higher.

However, most crypto did not join in today’s risk rally, except Solana, up 7% on the session.

Hmm.

Yields Plunge, Stocks Soar, Dollar Tumbles As Fed Hikes Are Officially Over, Countdown To Cuts Begins

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 09:38 AM

We have said on numerous occasions that the July rate hike was the Fed’s last, and today’s CPI data – which missed across the board and was only propped up by shelter inflation which is 12 month delayed and should be 0% – plus a tweet by Fed whisperer Nick Timiraos, aka Nikileaks, confirmed that the Fed is now done with its hiking cycle.

The market took the CPI miss and ran with it, sending futures soaring more than 1.4% with Nasdaq futures up 1.7%.image.png

As stocks soared, so did treasuries futures which spiked to session highs and sending 10Y yields lower by almost 20 basis points, to 4.44% and the lowest since Sept 24.

That said, the long- and front-end of the curve actually led gains post-data, with the 2Y yield plunging 20 bps, while the 5s30s spread steepened by around 5bp on the day.

Finally, the dollar fell off a cliff, with the Bloomberg dollar index collapsing.

But the biggest news was that the market no longer is pricing in any more rate hikes in December or otherwise, and instead it is now giving roughly 25% odds to a rate cut in March and has fully priced in two rate cuts by July.

Compare this to yesterday’s fed funds futures chart which still gave reasonable odds to a Dec/January rate hike. Well, those are gone.

Why? Because as we pointed out immediately after the CPI print hit, it takes on average 8 months between the last rate hike and the first rate cut. That would put the first cut squarely in March.

CPI plummets, core inflation lowest in  2 years

CPI Unexpectedly Misses Across The Board, Core Inflation Lowest In Over 2 Years

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 08:40 AM

Following two months of hotter than expected prints (driven by surging energy prices and healthcare methodology changes), the October CPI print was expected to slow materially from the previous month (from 3.7% to 3.3% on headline) even if core was expected to remain unchanged at 4.1%. What we got, however, was a whopper, with CPI missing across the board with both headline and core prints coming in below expectations on both a sequential and annual basis.

Starting with the headline CPI, it came in at 3.2%, below the 3.3% expected, while MoM CPI also missed expectations, printing unchanged (0.0%), below the consensus of a 0.1% print, and sharply below last month’s 0.4% print.

A similar picture emerged on core CPI, where the October MoM print was 0.2%, below the 0.3% consensus estimate and down from the 0.3% increase in Sept, while YoY managed to drop from 4.1% to 4.0% missing expectations of an unchanged print, and the lowest since Sept 2021!

According to the BLS, the index for shelter continued to rise in October (more below) offsetting a decline in the gasoline index and resulting in the seasonally adjusted index being unchanged over the month. The energy index fell 2.5 percent over the month as a 5.0-percent decline in the gasoline index more than offset increases in other energy component indexes. The food index increased 0.3 percent in October, after rising 0.2 percent in September. The index for food at home increased 0.3 percent over the month while the index for food away from home rose 0.4 percent.

As noted above, the core CPI index rose 0.2% in October, after rising 0.3% in September, with the increase driven by rent, owners’ equivalent rent, motor vehicle insurance, medical care, recreation, and personal care. The indexes for lodging away from home, used cars and trucks, communication, and airline fares were among those that decreased over the month.

Looking at the contributions to annual CPI it’s clear that core goods inflation has all but disappeared (energy helped drag headline CPI lower in October), with the only sticky inflation left rooted deeply in services (primarily housing).

On a sequential basis, we also find that core goods inflation has been negative for the past 5 months, with energy helping drag down the headline print to unchanged (energy detracted 0.176% from the bottom line number).

Some more detailed on the various components:

  • The shelter index increased 0.3% in October, after rising 0.6% the previous month. The index for rent rose 0.5% in October, and the index for owners’ equivalent rent increased 0.4% over the month.
    • The lodging away from home index decreased 2.5% in October
    • The shelter index was the largest factor in the monthly increase in the index for all items less food and energy.

Among the other indexes that rose in October was the index for motor vehicle insurance, which increased 1.9 percent after rising 1.3 percent the preceding month. The indexes for recreation, personal care, and apparel also increased in October.

  • The medical care index rose 0.3 percent in October, after rising 0.2 percent in September.
    • The index for hospital services increased 1.1 percent over the month, and the index for prescription drugs rose 0.8 percent.
    • In contrast, the physicians’ services index fell 1.0 percent in October.
  • The index for used cars and trucks fell 0.8 percent in October, after decreasing 2.5 percent in September.
  • The communication index fell 0.3 percent over the month, and the index for airline fares declined 0.9 percent.
  • The index for household furnishings and operations and the index for new vehicles both declined 0.1 percent over the month.

Taking a closer look at housing prices we find that the shelter index increased 6.7% over the last year, accounting for over 70% of the total increase in the all items less food and energy index.

Bear in mind that while CPI very stale data is rising over 7%,  real-time rent indicators are in freefall as the latest Apartment List data shows.

Other indexes with notable increases over the last year include motor vehicle insurance (+19.2 percent), recreation (+3.2 percent), personal care (+6.0 percent), and household furnishings and operations (+1.7 percent).

So what does this drop in inflation mean for US Consumers? Well, it means that in real terms average hourly earnings were… unchanged in October as YoY inflation effectively destroyed all wage gains over the past year.

Finally, we bring your attention to a chart we posted one year ago, showing the correlation between M2 and CPI, when we predicted that CPI was about to collapse.

One year later we were right, and there is much, much more to go.

Biden Has “Hurt The Economy A Lot” According To 33% Of Americans, While Only 14% Say They’re Better Off

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 06:55 AM

A new poll from the Financial Times – Michigan Ross has delivered a stark verdict on President Joe Biden’s economic policies, with only 14% of American voters feeling financially better off since his tenure began – sentiment which could pose a significant challenge to Biden’s re-election hopes, and reflects widespread skepticism about his administration’s economic track record.

The poll reveals that nearly 70% of voters believe Biden’s economic strategies have either harmed or not impacted the US economy. A notable 33% feel his policies has “hurt the economy a lot.” In stark contrast, merely 26% see his policies as beneficial.

The new monthly poll conducted for the Financial Times and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business will seek to track how economic sentiment affects the race for the White House. In 1980, Republican Ronald Reagan famously asked voters whether they were better off than they were four years earlier, setting the stage for his landslide victory over incumbent Democrat Jimmy Carter. –FT

Comparatively, a similar (pre-pandemic) poll from November 2019 showed less pronounced pessimism under Donald Trump’s presidency, despite most Americans feeling no improvement in their financial status. A November 2019 poll revealed that 35% of voters thought they were better off under Trump, while 31% said they were worse off.

Inflation, a persistent thorn in the Biden administration’s side, continues to be the primary concern. A staggering 82% of respondents cited rising prices as their biggest financial stressor, overshadowing the administration’s touted achievements in job growth and economic expansion.

Every group — Democrats, Republicans and independents — list rising prices as by far the biggest economic threat . . . and the biggest source of financial stress,” said Erik Gordon, a professor at Michigan’s Ross School – who says that worry over inflation spans political divides, and says it’s “bad news for Biden.

Despite a decrease from last year’s peak inflation rate, prices continue to rise significantly, evidenced by a 3.7% increase in the consumer price index compared to last year. These inflationary pressures have forced 65% of voters to cut back on non-essential spending, with more than half reducing spending on daily necessities.

While the Democratic Party recently celebrated victories in key states, the poll’s findings, combined with other national surveys, indicate potential challenges for Biden in a hypothetical match-up against Trump. With just 40% of voters approving of Biden’s job performance and an even lower 36% approving of his handling of the economy, questions are being raised within the Democratic Party about his viability as a presidential nominee.

Out Of Office: Global Vacancies Hit Record High

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 04:15 AM

The shockwaves from WeWork’s bankruptcy last week continue to reverberate around the commercial real estate market, leaving office landlords around the world trembling with fear at the prospect of losing one of their largest tenants.

Especially in prime markets such as New York City, San Francisco, London and Paris, WeWork played an outsized role in the office rental market, occupying large swaths of premium office space.

According to Bloomberg, “Dormant locations in New York dominate a list of nearly 70 leases the coworking giant intends to terminate, court papers show. The roughly 40 contracts at issue include space near Union Square and in Fulton Center, a retail and transit facility in downtown Manhattan.”

As Statista’s Felix  Richter reports, WeWork’s demise come at the worst possible time for landlords, who are already struggling to find tenants, as many companies are reducing their office footprint to reduce costs and adapt to the post-pandemic world of hybrid work.

According to real estate specialist Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL)office vacancy rates are higher than ever, reaching 21 percent in the U.S. and Canada in Q3 2023 and 16 percent globally, i.e. in the 100+ markets analyzed by JLL Research. In both cases, that’s an increase of 60 percent compared to pre-pandemic vacancy rates, which stood at 13 and 10 percent in North America and globally in Q3 2019, respectively.

At the end of June, WeWork operated 906,000 workstations in 777 locations across 39 countries, with total (current and long-term) lease obligations amounting to $14.2 billion.

While it’s unclear what will happen to these locations post-bankruptcy, landlords look certain to lose out on a large chunk of their agreed-upon leases and to end up with even more excess supply of prime office space.

As of June 2022, the company rented nearly 20 million square feet of office space across the US. And what’s happening in NYC is coming to a city near you.

Victor Davis Hanson: The Damage Of The ‘White Privilege’ Smear

MONDAY, NOV 13, 2023 – 09:00 PM

Authored by Victor Davis Hanson via American Greatness,

One of the many satanic paradoxes of the Third Reich’s architecture of the Final Solution was the requirement – mandated after the 1939 outbreak of the war – that Jews anywhere under German rule or occupation had to wear a yellow badge or armband with the Star or David.

Yet was not all this elaborate bureaucratic need for identification embarrassing to the Nazi apparat?

After all, if Nazi doctrine about supposedly manifest Aryan “racial” superiority – Nordic looks and build, superior intelligence, stable disposition – were so persuasive, then why the need for Jews to identify themselves?

In contrast, the Star-of David IDs were prima facie proof that the entire bankrupt Nazi project was based on the unspoken fear that millions of Jews were indistinguishable in all respects from other Europeans.

In other words, on the fascist right, anti-Semitism was predicated on the pseudo-science that Jews were not European and thus somehow racially inferior. Yet currently, the entire industry of anti-Semitic hatred has flipped, from Jews as toxic non-whites to Jews as toxic whites. The two common denominators of racial obsession and hating Jews remain the same.

One of the key reasons leftwing anti-Semites have been so effective at galvanizing campus hatred of Israel, and by association of Jews in general, is their careful effort to brand themselves DEI victims why tarring Jews with the empty white supremacy slur.

Accordingly, Jews and Israel now supposedly enjoy toxic white privilege.

They are libeled as veritable white supremacists illegitimately in the Middle East to colonize “Palestine,” and as European imperialists picking up the mantle of the earlier 19th century British and French—as if a prior 400 years of Ottoman imperialism in the Middle East never occurred.

As now-privileged white victimizers, contemporary Jews are not seen as victims of the Holocaust, explaining the comfortable alliance between Islamist Holocaust deniers and the DEI crowd.

It was no accident that a racist BLM on news of the October 7 massacres quickly issued posters glorifying Hamas hang-gliding murderers.

It was no surprise that DEI czars and professors in various ethnic and race studies programs proved the most prominent on campus in damning Israel and its Jewish citizens as racists. And who was shocked when university administrators—the cowardly MIT campus is a good example—simply warned Jews of no-go zones, rather than ensured there were no such zones anywhere on campus for anyone?

Jews seem to be collateral damage from the damning of an entire group of people, namely white Americans and Europeans. In a society that is supposedly wedded to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dictum that we should be judged by the content of our character, not the color of our skin, it is shocking how the racist DEI and woke industries have been given a complete pass to castigate and demonize an entire group, without any concern for individual characteristics, or for class, religious, or ethnic differences.

Indeed, white is as sloppy a term as Hispanic. Just as third generation Cuban-American professionals have almost no intrinsic ethnic, political, class, or often even linguistic affinities with impoverished Oaxacans who just crossed illegally into America—and vice versa—so too a white male from rural America working as a welder in the Ozarks or a logger in the Sierra Nevada has zero solidarity with a white Bay Area techie at Google or an Ivy League legacy preppie screaming “from the river to the sea” in Harvard Yard.

But “white” is not just a ridiculous construct that ignores the multiplicities of European ethnic and religious fault lines, the vast differences in “white” class, income, and politics, and the increasing frequency of whites marrying non-whites. When joined with the tired epithets “privilege,” “supremacy,” and “rage,” the result grows even more incoherent and sinister.

Is proof of the privilege of “whites” that their life expectancy is lower than Hispanics and Asians?

suicide rate higher than blacks, Asians, and Hispanics?

Dying in combat in Afghanistan and Iraq at double their numbers in the general population?

An inordinate percentage of fentanyl deaths?

A current percentage of whites in Ivy League freshman classes of 20-40 percent, despite making up 55 percent of the youth demographic?

Why does “white rage” not result in whites being overrepresented as perpetrators of “hate crimes,” as are Latinos and blacks? Or in relatively rare interracial crimes, why are blacks far more likely to assault or kill whites than vice versa? In the DEI lexicon of reductionist stereotypes, is there a term “black rage” that reflects FBI statistics on hate or interracial crimes?

Woke and DEI fads have created entire anti- “white privilege” industries.

One result was the epidemic of careerism-inspired and media-fed hoaxes, such as the Duke Lacrosse lie, the Covington Kids myth, and the Jussie Smollett fiasco.

All were predicated on the idea the white male smear would alone obviate the need for evidence—and would provide exemption when the fakers were exposed.

Another bastard child of the “white privilege” myth was the ironic but pathetic effort of whites to fake a non-white identity to win privileges in hiring, admissions, and status.

What, after all, drove the transitioning of Sen. Elizabeth Warren to declare herself the first “native American” professor of law at Harvard, or careerist professor Ward Churchill to outfit himself in buckskin and beads—not to mention the famous Rachel Dolezal, former head of the NAACP in Spokane, Washington?

Identity fakery is traditionally an empirical guide to privilege, or otherwise nonwhites would be transitioning to white status, as in the segregationist and overtly racist days of the Old South.

In that regard, why did the New York Times dub Hispanic, half-Peruvian George Zimmerman “White Hispanic,” when they had never used that phrase for any other person, even though two thirds of “Hispanic” Americans self-identify as white? Because it was an acceptable affront in demonizing Zimmerman, but would have been considered a racist slander against another Hispanic American?

A hallmark of the white-privilege slander industry is the one-way application of “disproportionality,” or the idea that coveted or celebrity billets must reflect demographics.

Such institutionalized discrimination is now applied in crude fashion throughout companies and universities, but not when inconvenient. In professional sports, where meritocracy is deemed essential and whites are “underrepresented,” or in recording contracts, or even in the US postal service, there is no such sin in any group’s overrepresentation.

Another dividend of the blanket white privilege/supremacy slur is the racial shakedown industry. The BLM movement in the wake of George Floyd’s death ended up extorting millions of dollars from guilty or scared corporations. The vast majority of donations ended up unaccounted for, but likely enriched the founding grifters of BLM.

Ibram X. Kendi earned lucrative fees and honoraria espousing “anti-racism” and founded an “anti-racism” academic center that produced no tangible research. All that and more followed from his academic mish-mash of writings justifying racism against whites to “stop racism.”

The industry of white demonization also plays a role in the drastic reductions in U.S. armed forces recruitment.

The Pentagon insists that labor shortages, obesity, criminality, gang affiliations, or drugs explain their current alarming dearth of recruits.

But the drop-off in white rural and suburban males is demonstrable, and the reason is most likely their weariness with constant woke hectoring and discrimination.

Such pandering was on display when Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark Milley in his June 2021 testimony to Congress pontificated about ferreting out “white rage” and “white privilege” in the ranks—despite providing no evidence or data to back up his white bias and racism allegations.

Indeed, the Pentagon publicly quotes in detail the racial makeup of almost every branch and rank of service—except the disproportionately-white demographics of combat deaths, which are considered taboo and inherently macabre and “divisive.”

The DEI virus and the incessant “white privilege” stereotyping infect all areas of American life, and have rendered our society obsessed and hypocritical, if not incoherent as it equates everything from meritocracy to punctuality to toxic “whiteness.”

The normal rules of media sensationalism dictate that when any law enforcement officer lethally shoots an unarmed suspect, especially at a distance that posed no direct threat to the shooter, the name of the officer is immediately released.

But when a capitol officer shot and killed the unarmed January 6 protestor Ashli Babbitt for the likely misdemeanor of entering a broken window in the Capitol, his name and identity were immediately hidden from the public for months.

The same coverup was at work in the suppression of the manifesto and diaries of the self-declared trans mass shooter in Nashville—given that current leaks reveal one of her motivations was sheer hatred of what she deemed “white privileged” children, or, as she also called them, “crackers.”

If New York Prosecutor Letitia James had been a white male conservative activist prosecutor, seeking fame and an upward political career in his state by indicting Barack Obama in an election year for some suspicious financial transactions or sweetheart real estate con from years ago, he would have been denounced as racist.

And what if said prosecutor was on record screaming, not the now socially acceptable and common slogan “too pale, too male, and too stale,” but something about the overrepresentation of the “not pale, not male, but stale?” Would the result be the summary dismissal of an embarrassing, superfluous, and racist writ by a grandstanding, incoherent political hack?

Inconsistency is a final hallmark of “white privilege” ideology.

What characterized the exemptions given to the summer of 2020 riots—with 35 dead, 1,500 law enforcement officers injured, $2 billion in damages, and a courthouse, police precinct, and historic church torched—was their pretense that white privilege had resulted in George Floyd’s death and anti-racist violence was justified.

Black Lives Matter therefore was to be immune from consequences in its “rage” against “white supremacy.”

During the lockdowns, when minor infractions of the quarantine warranted everything from social ostracism to jailing, thousands of health-care professionals—once the most adamant in insisting on the shutdowns—hit the streets claiming that they were marching against white privilege and therefore exempt from the very protocols they had inflicted on others.

By contrast, both the peaceful protestors and the rioters of January 6 were alike dubbed “white supremacists” and “insurrectionists,” and given harsh sentences.

Some no doubt deserved such arrest and punishment, but the single-day event was hardly comparable to the 120 days of rioting, looting, arson, and killing associated with the Antifa/BLM-engineered 2020 riots.

The low bar for “insurrection,” of course, was white-privilege-inspired.

Note the contrast with the recent “pro-Palestine” demonstrations.

Ostensibly these protests should have qualified for all the new requirements of “insurrection” established by the official responses to January 6.

Some of them entered the Capitol rotunda, where protests are forbidden. They interrupted a session of Congress, yelling and disrupting congressional hearings. They defaced government property, smearing fake-blood on the White House stone wall and swarming iconic statues. The genocide of Jews was the theme of their “river to the sea” monotonous chants.

And to make the analogy with the January 6 “insurrection” complete, a prominent politician, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, delivered a speech to the protestors prior to their entry into the Capitol.  In fact, she too implicitly fired up the volatile crowd by calling for the destruction of Israel by demanding a Palestine “from the river to the sea.” Yet in contrast to the January 6 protestors, there were very few arrests and likely will be fewer convictions.

In sum, for years the left has been exempted for what in normal circumstance would be a cardinal civil rights sin. They demonize and stereotype an entire group solely on the basis of their skin color, attributing to them collective negative characteristics that trump all individual differences by presenting them as if frozen in a time warp of the pre-1960s.

Anti-Semitism is on the rise and fortified by the campus DEI and woke crowd.

Hate crimes are soaring. Violent crime in general is on the upswing. Military recruitment is dropping. Trust in the media is plunging. Anti-Semites are proud and not ashamed of acting out their hatred. The progressive woke agenda is imploding.

The one common denominator is the now-acceptable notion that it is not just permissible but encouraged to smear without evidence over two-thirds of Americans as the sole beneficiaries of “privilege,” prone to rage, and conspiring to ensure racial supremacy—all lies.

But they are lies nevertheless as useful to their promulgators as they are toxic and incendiary to a multiracial consensual society if not addressed, refuted, and discredited.

It is past time for Americans to reject all racial stereotyping and the racist careerists who leverage it – before we all descend into tribal nihilism.

Trump Will File For Mistrial In NY Fraud Case ‘Soon,’ Attorney Says

MONDAY, NOV 13, 2023 – 09:40 PM

Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),

Former President Donald Trump’s legal team will “very soon” file for a mistrial in the New York fraud case to address a range of “issues,” said his attorney on Sunday.

Attorney Alina Habba was asked during a Fox News appearance about whether they will file a mistrial, she said it would come “soon” and “very soon.” She added the former president is concerned about the judge and the clerk in the trial, saying that a gag order prevented her from issuing a full response.

I can tell you that we will be filing papers to address all of those issues,” Ms. Habba told the outlet. “The problem is, with all of these things, such as filing a motion for recusal, which we have done twice, is that the judge has to be the one that decides—is he going to recuse himself? Does he feel that there was a mistrial?”

Because it is a “bench trial” and one judge, Arthur Engoron, is involved, he has to make those determinations, the attorney added. “At this point, I don’t have any reason to believe he shouldn’t after what we have learned, if it’s true,” she said.

On Monday, the former president’s legal team is expected to present their case in New York, where President Trump faces a $250 million lawsuit that was brought about by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

She has alleged that the Trump Organization engaged in fraudulent activities over a decade, while accusing the former president, his sons, and the real estate firm of falsely inflating the value of its assets. The former president and his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, have denied wrongdoing, while President Trump has said it’s part of a politically motivated bid to derail his third presidential campaign.

In a separate interview with Fox News on Sunday, Ms. Habba claimed that the Trump Organization can prove that no lenders were harmed and were paid on time, with interest, and made money. Instead, she added, it is because Ms. James wanted to make a name for herself, making note of a statement the attorney general had made during her first campaign about prosecuting President Trump.Judge Arthur Engoron presides over former President Donald Trump’s fraud trial in New York Supreme Court, on Oct. 3, 2023. (Dave Sanders/Pool Photo via AP)

She should really dismiss this case, it’s making her look bad, frankly, and the city needs her attention elsewhere,” Ms. Habba added, referring to Ms. James. Another problem they “have is the judge is the one that’s going make those decisions and he’s proven himself to be quite motivated by the other side,” she also said.

Late last week, a top House Republican, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), a filed an ethics complaint against Judge Engoron, alleging he has displayed a “clear judicial bias” against President Trump and his company. Her letter said that the judge has failed to honor President Trump’s due process rights under the U.S. Constitution and made note of the former president’s status as a clear GOP presidential front-runner for the 2024 race.

I filed an official judicial complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron for his inappropriate bias and judicial intemperance in New York’s disgraceful lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization,” Mrs. Stefanik said in a statement to several news outlets. “Americans are sick and tired of the blatant corruption by radical Leftist judges in New York. All New Yorkers must speak out against the dangerous weaponized lawfare against President Trump.”

So far, Judge Engoron has not issued a public comment about the letter. Before the trial started, the judge ruled in September that he believes the Trump Organization defrauded banks and insurers by inflating the value of its assets, ordering that some of the former president’s business licenses be rescinded as punishment.

“In the defendants’ world, rent regulated apartments are worth the same as unregulated apartments; restricted land is worth the same as unrestricted land; restrictions can evaporate into thin air; a disclaimer by one party casting responsibility on another party exonerates the other party’s lies,” Judge Engoron wrote in a 35-page ruling. “That is a fantasy world, not the real world.”

However, some real estate professionals have cast doubt on the judge’s ruling, namely regarding President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida. Judge Engoron ruled that President Trump over-valued Mar-a-Lago by a significant margin.

Appraisal values and market values are just not the same thing. It’s a well-known fact,” Eli Beracha, chair of the School of Real Estate at Florida International University, told CNN last month. “That’s especially true for properties that are unique. And it’s very easy to argue this is a unique property.”

About a month after his ruling, a New York appeals court judge temporarily halted the process of breaking up President Trump’s businesses. The appeals court judge, however, rejected President Trump’s attempt to dismiss the fraud trial.

Other than the fraud case, the former president separately faces criminal charges in Georgia, Washington, D.C., Florida, and New

As Friday Shutdown Approaches, House Freedom Caucus Balks At Johnson’s ‘No Reductions’ Stopgap

TUESDAY, NOV 14, 2023 – 09:30 AM

House Speaker Mike Johnson’s new stopgap funding bill designed to avert a  government shutdown on Friday is expected to head to a vote today, marking Johnson’s first big vote as head of the chamber.

Johnson’s plan, a “two-step continuing resolution,” would fund some parts of the government until January 19, while others would receive funding until February 2.

This two-step continuing resolution is a necessary bill to place House Republicans in the best position to fight for conservative victories,” Johnson said in a statement after announcing the plan to House Republicans in a conference call.

If Johnson’s plan does pass in the House, it appears the Senate will rubbers-stamp it – with both Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) expressing support for the ‘clean’ bill, which McConnell labeled a “responsible measure that will keep the lights on,” adding “Shutting down does nothing — nothing — to advance that work,” referring to the passage of funding bills.

“Regular order requires that Congress provides itself the time for careful consideration and thorough amendment. I’m glad that Speaker Johnson has produced a continuing resolution that would do exactly that,” McConnell continued.

The House Freedom Caucus may dick with Johnson’s plans, however, announcing after a meeting with the Speaker on Monday night that they won’t support the stopgap because it doesn’t include any offsetting reductions in spending.Reps. Chip Roy (R-Texas) and Scott Perry, (R-Pa.) speak with reporters on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, on Capitol Hill in Washington. (AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin)

“The House Freedom Caucus opposes the proposed ‘clean’ Continuing Resolution as it contains no spending reductions, no border security, and not a single meaningful win for the American People,” the group said in a Tuesday morning position statement. “Republicans must stop negotiating against ourselves over fears of what the Senate may do with the promise ‘roll over today and we’ll fight tomorrow.'”

“While we remain committed to working with Speaker Johnson, we need bold change,” the Caucus added.

The announcement also comes after GOP leaders announced last night that they would seek to fast-track the bill through a floor vote in order to avoid Republican opposition shooting it down – though it will require support from two-thirds of the whole house, meaning that dozens of Democrats will have to cross the aisle.

An official position from the Freedom Caucus requires support from 80 percent of the group, which has around three dozen members. But the caucus is not unified in opposition to the continuing resolution plan.

“The two-step CR is a way to get the broken appropriations process back on track without resulting in a massive omnibus spending bill,” Harris wrote on X over the weekend.

US Forces Have Been Attacked At Least 4 Times Since Sunday Strikes In Syria – CNN

Iran and its proxies have no respect or fear of Team Obama-Biden because they perform symbolic acts.

If the Economy Is So Great, Why Are Tax Revenues So Weak? (Fake US economic stats?)
On a quarterly basis, federal receipts have been falling—quarter-to-quarter—since the third quarter of 2022… There have been some periods where revenues went slightly negative without an accompanying recession. But not in many decades do we see a situation where year-over-year revenue has fallen to the extent that it has fallen in recent months, without a recession following soon after. (For example, federal revenue dropped 26 percent, year over year, in April of this year, followed by a 21-percent drop in May.)
Consumer spending, of course, continues to be fueled by rising debt levels while investment falls….

Politico: Here’s How Biden Can Turn It Around – Top Democrats agree that the president needs more aggressiveness, more help from his friends and a few more friends. Liz Cheney, Rahm Emanuel and Mitt Romney can help. (Liz & Mitt can help The Big Guy!?!?  How delusional is that?!)
The level of despair was striking. Since beginning this column a year ago, I’ve written repeatedly about the chasm between what Democrats say in private versus public about Biden. Yet perhaps not since Trump’s 2016 election have the party’s leaders and lawmakers been so alarmed…
Biden will not be able to govern and campaign in the manner of previous incumbents. He simply does not have the capacity to do it, and his staff doesn’t trust him to even try as they make clear by blocking him from the press….  The president often displays his resentments in ways that do nothing to move public opinion and only delay needed adjustments. And some of his younger aides mimic his snark… https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/11/13/biden-2024-reelection-challenges-strategy-00126776

US CPI Is Seen Getting a Nudge from Swing in Health Insurance – BBG
October CPI data will reflect new calculations in the category
The BLS computes the cost through an indirect method (AKA crafting data).  Essentially, it reflects the business costs of offering consumers health insurance (As opposed to actually measuring real healthcare inflation!), whereas services for seeing a doctor or a hospital stay are calculated separately and are at or near record-high prices levels.  The health insurance index, by contrast, is currently at its lowest reading in six years.  But what American actually pay for coverage is a different story…  For the past year, the health insurance category has fallen at a roughly 4% clip each month.  Bloomberg Economics and Bank of America Corp expect the changes to result in CPI health insurance rising 1% staring in the October report… (BBG claims/admits that BLS CPI is bogus!)

The NY Fed shows consumer inflation expectations fell to 3.6% from 3.7% in October.  So far, this is the only survey that shows a decline in consumer inflation angst/expectations.  How convenient!
NY Fed: Consumers’ Expectations Largely Stable in October
Median inflation expectations declined at the one-year and five-year ahead horizons in October, falling to 3.6% from 3.7% and to 2.7% from 2.8%, respectively. Median inflation expectations at the three-year a

ESZs opened lower on Sunday night and continue to sink until they rallied modestly during the final hour of Nikkei trading.  They then commenced a methodical 17-handle rally that ended at 8:31 ET.  After an 18-handle decline to a daily low of 4407.25 at 9:55 ET, the usual suspects poured into ESZs for the expected Monday Rally (despite the batch of negative news).

ESZs jumped to a daily high of 4436.75 at 11:47 ET.  After a drop to 4422.25 at 13:34 ET, the afternoon rally commenced.  ESZs hit 4434.50 at 14:42 ET and then rolled over and bottomed (4426.00) at 15:02 ET.  It was time for the last-hour manipulation.  ESZs hit 4432.75 at 15:20 ET and then fell to 4424.00 at 15:53 ET.  ESZs inched one handle higher into the close.

USZs traded similarly to ESZs.  USZs hit a daily high of 113 13/32, +1/32 at 4:47 ET.  They hit a low of 112 12/32 at 9:38 ET and then rallied back to a triple top of 113 11/32 in the afternoon.

Unabashed jigginess for equities is back in vogue due to Fed fecklessness and politicization.  Despite the Moody’s US debt downgrade and Iran escalating attacks on US forces in the Middle East, and a looming October CPI Report, the usual suspects eagerly and aggressively bought US financial assets – because they believe that the Fed will not hike rates anymore.

We expect a 0.09% increase in October headline CPI (vs. 0.1% consensus), which corresponds to a year-over-year rate of 3.29% (vs. 3.3% consensus). Today – As we prognosticated, traders played for the Monday Rally.  Now, they must navigate the October CPI Report.  If the report is modestly worse than expected, traders will eagerly buy stuff because they think the Fed has chickened out.  Until fundamentals turn shockingly bad or the Fed hikes rates and indicates more are coming, the usual suspects will be irrationally exuberant for stocks.

If the report is in-line or lower than expected, there will be an initial surge.  However, anyone with a modicum of market or economic savvy knows that the BLS constructs CPI to NOT show inflation. USZs might not accept Team Obama-Biden’s CPI malarkey. ESZs are +1.00 and USZs are -11/32 at 20:25 ET.

@dilanesper: History you probably didn’t know– there was a split in the 1960’s in the Civil Rights movement between Christian groups (SCLC, led by King) and Muslim groups (the NOI, led by Elijah Muhammad). And this split is a big part of the resistance of the academic Left to Israel/Jews.
The Black Christian Civil Rights groups were philo-Semitic: they worked with Jewish leaders (Jack Greenberg was one of the highest up officials in th NAACP Legal Defense Fund, for instance.) The Black Muslim groups were mostly anti-Semitic and promoted conspiracy theories
